GTK PopStation

Posted on Sunday 7 January 2007

After the release of Dark_Alex’s custom firmware, only wnidows GUIs were created to the popstation converter, so I decided to code my own GUI version.

Bare in mind that this is my very first GUI application. Feel free to suggest better ways to use the API.

My comments from psp-news.dcemu.co.uk, where this has been posted:

Always nice to see more Linux apps being developed.

I’ve downloaded it and had a look - it works on my machine, which is nice, because precompiled binaries quite often don’t. All the dialogs seems to funciton properly. I don’t have any PSX games ripped to test, so I can’t test it any further.

One BIG problem: this includes the hot shots golf file, and the keys.bin. It’s illegal to distribute them. You’ll need to repack it without them.

Suggestions for improvement: Allow user to choose their own custom icons and such, support for batch conversions.

    Hi there,
I think your program is very nice, but in the source, there’s an extra ” ” (space) at the end of a line before convert.c convert.h in autogen which breaks the next line. Also, there’s no way to change the default image, which would be very nice.
