dualSwan v1.2.1 FINAL

Posted on Friday 21 July 2006

This is the final release of dualSwan. No further development will be made. Here is the changelog:

  • dualSwan v1.2.1 (21/07/2006)
    • Fixed window mode 0×20
    • Added support for M3SD and SCSD
    • Source: Moved menu handlers to menu.c/h

I did not test M3SD or SCSD myself, but it should work, as chishm’s FAT library does. Download the binary and source on dualSwan’s page.

Fuck! Are you sure you want to go PSP? tepples suggested GP2x…its cheaper, linuxer, and more hackable….and less about piracy.

Is it just me, or is the Binary download corrupt?

To DynaStab - one of the popular reasons to choose PSP over DS is that a much higher percentage of owners are able to use homebrew since it doesn’t require any extra hardware. If that is LiraNuna’s reason, the GP2X would be an even worse option.

Interesting…good luck to you. Bit disapointed in your way about it but not much I can say as I guess i am not privy to such a secret in the DS dev world.

Fabre: Your reasoning doesn’t seem to hold. I thought GP2X supports homebrew out of the box, and the maker is committed to supporting homebrew? So instead of 2% of DS(or however many have homebrew tools), or 30% of PSP(or however many have low enough firmware), you have 100% of gp2x owners.

I think the real reason may be that liran has a psp, and not a gp2x, and electronics and stuff is very expensive to import to where he is

Sorry guys, I have re-uploaded the files.
    Please re-download.

And yes, the reason I\’m moving to the PSP is that I already have one (v1.5), and importing a GP2x (which costs around 170$) will be summed up (with taxes) as about 340$. I rather spand that kind of money going to EVOKE :)

It s really sad you leave ds scene,…
Of course dualswan121 still refuse to work.the first archive was corrupted, the second contains some strange 0kb files.Does it need to rewrite my scsd memories in fat or fat 32 mode,or simply that i m definitively doomed by bandai?

David R: I worded that incorrectly. I meant that the 100% of GP2X owners is still less than the 30% of PSP owners.

for thos of you saying the GPX2 is better than psp in homebrew things, your correct but the thing is, more ppls own PSP then gpx2!!so more pplls have acces to homebre on psp even if they have to downgrade, plus GPX2, you have to import it and there not too many developers also, so GPX2 suxs compares to psp homebrew, even tho its easier todevelop for
